I love being called a MUMBAIKAR and can never imagine staying permanently in some other place. Mumbai is a city of dreams where every year lots of people migrate with loads of hopes and aspirations. This city is a beacon light for millions of people. Even though the people here follow the modern trends, they are cultured and rooted to their customs and traditions. The festival of colours, the festival of lights, the festival of idols etc are popularly celebrated with great enthusiasm even today.
It is also a city of beauty, especially the town side as I had my college there. Mark my words, the Causeway in Colaba is one of the best place to shop in town and then comes the Fashion street in Church gate. The Kala ghoda festival held every year in the month of February is the renowned art exhibition. The serene breeze at the Marine drive blows the mind in complete awe. Behold…The Wankhade stadium, where India lifted the 2011 World cup. The tasty bhurji pav in CST, the mouth watering lassi stall near to that, the spicy franky of khaau gali, the buttery ‘Sardar’ pav bhaji in Tad dev and my all time favourite chocolate milkshake near Charni road station will never drift me apart from them.
So, want to see the town side of Mumbai? I’ll accompany you…Chalo phir !
